Shiv Shankar is our Founder and CEO; he has over 20 years of experience in setting up and managing world-class software product development centers. Most recently, he was the Director of Enterprise Software Technology in Intel. He has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Madras, India. He considers teaching his passion and has won several best teacher and mentor recognitions in Intel. He is an avid technologist, voracious reader, and music composer.
Tajinder Singh Sidhu is our Founder and President; he has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles designing and managing complex technology solutions. Prior to Learnhive, he worked for over 14 years at Goldman Sachs in New York. He holds a BTech degree in Computer Science from IIT, Delhi, and a Master's in Computer Science from College of William & Mary, Virginia. He has a keen interest in understanding the learning habits of young children, and is a volunteer teacher with the Literacy Volunteers of America.
Arindam Nag is our Founder and Director; he has over 15 years experience in information technology. He worked for over 13 years at one of the world's leading investment banks, Goldman Sachs in various engineering and technology leadership roles. He has a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a recipient of National Talent Search Scholarship. He is a staunch believer in using technology to bridge the gap in the educational divide that exists not just in India but the world over.
Mohan Rajamani is our Founder and Director. Previously, he was the Director of Cache Technologies in India which he founded over 15 years back and is regarded as one of the pioneers who built PC-XT systems in India. Mohan has been on the advisory board of several organizations to transform the use of technology in various verticals. He was an advisor to Indus International School and assisted with their technology program. He is currently on the advisory board of Primus school in Bangalore.
Capt. Unni Krishnan is our Founder and Director; he is also the Founder and Managing Trustee of Primus Public School, Bangalore. Prior, he was the Founder and Trustee of Indus International School. At Primus, he led the implementation of new teaching pedagogies. He has seamlessly integrated the International and Indian syllabi to help prepare students for higher studies both in India and Overseas. He is a 'Sword of Honor' from the prestigious Officers Training Academy of the Indian Army.
Nickhil Jackatdar is currently CEO and co-founder of Vuclip, a mobile video search and delivery service (try it out on your mobile browser by typing in m.vuclip.com). Prior to Vuclip, Nickhil was the President and COO of Praesagus, a MIT incubated start-up that he helped grow before its acquisition by Cadence Design Systems. Post-acquisition, Nickhil became Engineering Group Director at Cadence where he ran the entire Manufacturing Modeling Group. Prior to Praesagus, Nickhil helped found and served on the board of directors of CommandCAD, an electrical CAD company that was acquired two years after its founding. Prior to CommandCAD, Nickhil co-founded Timbre Technologies, a semiconductor manufacturing start-up, that won the first-ever Berkeley Business Plan competition, leading to a successful venture-backed financing. Nickhil served as CTO and VP of Marketing and Products as the company grew to become the industry standard in the field of scatterometry, before being acquired by Tokyo Electron Ltd. Nickhil remained at TEL for 3 years as Sr. Director of Technology and Marketing.
Nickhil has been the recipient of many awards from various organizations, including the IEEE Best Paper Award in the area of Transactions in Semiconductor Manufacturing for 2001, the Berkeley Distinguished Pioneer Award, the NSF and MICRO fellowships and the Most Outstanding Student award at the College of Engineering, Pune. He has been featured in several articles published in the United States and in India. He has to his credit more than 20 conference papers and more than 30 issued patents.
Srikanth Iyer is the CEO of Pearson Education Services and TutorVista, both of which are a part of Pearson, the world’s leading learning company. As a part of the core leadership team mandated to grow Pearson mindshare and market share in the country, Srikanth brings sales, operations and strategic depth to the table.
Srikanth began his career with Wipro in 1993, from where he ventured on to follow his entrepreneurial instincts. His 7 year stint with Wipro saw him work with IT businesses in the infrastructural space. As a seasoned Information Technology Entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, Srikanth’s entrepreneurial prowess lead him to co-found Edurite Technologies, a leading e-content provider in the education space. Under Srikanth’s proficient leadership, Edurite fortified its reputation in the retail segment and widened its horizons to the supplemental education space by launching Edurite tutorials; South India’s largest network of technology enabled tutorial service.
Srikanth’s critical expertise lies in exhibiting the vision to identify the future prospects of a business and also owning the key requisites to scale it to its extractable potential. This ingenious business acumen combined with the commitment to deliver results, enabled him to scale a 25 member organisation to a 1000+ strong business entity backed by funding from companies like Manipal Group, Lightspeed Technologies, Sequoia Capital. Srikanth’s incandescent leadership bears testimony to the phenomenal growth story of Edurite, which he lead to acquisition by TutorVista; a global online tutoring company, and further acquisition by Pearson.
Srikanth holds a Post Graduate Diploma is Software Engineering from Harvard University (DCE) and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering from Bangalore University, India. He has been a state level Table Tennis player for 4 years and is an avid sports fan who dabbles in squash, tennis and cricket. Srikanth strikes the balance between work and life by spending quality time with his family which is mostly infused with short vacation and travel plans.
