We know that everything around us is called matter. Mass of an object is the amount of matter in that object.
We measure the mass of an object by measuring the weight of the object.
The standard unit of measurement of mass is Kilograms.
1000 gms = 1 Kgm
For e.g. The weight of a cricket bat is 750 gms. This means the mass of the bat is 750 gms.
Balance scales or weighing scales are used to measure the mass or weight of an object.
