A Rational number is a number which can be expressed as the quotient or fraction of two integers. If the number is of the form p/q, where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero, it is called a rational number. It is also expressed as a ratio of two integers.
An Irrational number is a real number which cannot be written as a simple fraction.
