Exponent is the number of times a number is multiplied by itself.Exponents are written as xy; where x is the number and y is the exponent or power.
Example: 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 = 25
The nth root of a number x is a number r which, when raised to the power of n, equals x. i.e rn = x
In the above example 25 = 32, hence 2 is the 5th root of 32.
